Dera Sacha Sauda: Cleanliness Earth Campaign

In a bid to spread awareness among people about the vitality of keeping our surroundings clean, Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan envisioned the need of initiating cleanliness campaigns in India. The idea conceptualized by HIS Holiness was then executed by lakhs of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers under the guidance of Revered Guru Ji resulting in tremendous decline of prevailing diseases and general public promising to keep their environment clean. This welfare initiative was pioneered with a Mega Cleanliness Campaign at the Nation’s Capital, New Delhi on September 21, 2011 in which more than 4 lakh volunteers participated and cleaned the whole capital within quarter to one and a half days. Taking this welfare activity forward, Dera Sacha Sauda, till date, has organized 20 mega cleanliness drives in total covering major cities of Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and religious places of Uttar Pradesh and Orissa. All these drives have been executed under the holy guidance and supervision of Revered Guru Ji. His Holiness inaugurates each and every drive with HIS holy presence by showing off a green flag to the volunteers and sweeping broom by HIMSELF. Lakhs of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers throng to the campaign’s venue on a single call of Revered Saint Ji. Such is the characteristic devotion of volunteers towards Revered Guru Ji and dedication towards welfare of humanity.
The whole idea of cleanliness campaign not only aims to clean the public areas only but also to awaken people about the need of saving earth from pollution. Revered Guru Ji with HIS divine power could foresee the aftermaths of pollution in the coming generations, so being the Savior of Humanity, His Holiness gave a provoking call to all the volunteers to execute such cleanliness drives. Though, Revered Guru Ji since decades have been motivating people not to litter, spit and pollute public areas, but for implementing the same in their practical lives, the cleanliness campaign was an urgent need of the hour. These cleanliness drives have shown a major success in terms of reduction of diseases as well as a dramatic change in the mindset of people to keep the public areas clean too. More such drives will follow in the coming time whenever and wherever there is a need to save earth from increasing pollution and in turn need to save humanity. The day, each one of us understands the importance of cleanliness & hygiene in our surroundings, the world will be free from any kind of epidemics and the foundation of a healthy and pollution-free life will be laid for our future generations.
